My studio practice has been leading my down the path of patterning and texture. I spend quite a bit of time researching Egyptian art and I'm interested in the ornamental ways artist from that era decorated sculptures and objects created for fashion. Everything in my created world has to have my own spin. I like to manipulate everything to my on liking when I pull in foreign elements unless it's for a really specific reason.

I just got my new nibs for my Wacom tablet in the mail. Most of my work begins with sketching and lately I do a lot of pre-planning using Corel Painter with my Wacom Intuos tablet. I usually like to draw with the flex nibs, but I decided to give the stroke nibs a try. The flex nibs are more sensitive to pressure than the standard nibs for the Intuos pen and the stroke nibs are more sensitive to pressure than the flex.
